The Postage Myth

Have you ever wondered if adding more postage on an envelope or even a package would make the shipping faster? Has anyone told you that? Maybe someone asked you that question. Would adding more postage expedite the shipping or mailing transit?

Goin' Postal Bellevue, an approved Postal Provider is here to answer that mythical question. Adding more postage on an envelope, package, small parcel or anything does not make the shipping process faster-- it's going to be the same regardless of how many additional stamps you put on. Putting stamps on an envelope or package will automatically categorize it as a "first class" package. The transit time will vary upon destination.  If you are doing this or you know someone is doing this tell them to stop. You are wasting stamps for something that will be shipped on its normal shipping transit times.

Request expediting shipment if you need the package or envelope to arrive faster. Expediting shipping will cost more.  If your item is time sensitive or very important it will be better to expedite with signature or delivery confirmation. Adding postage does not speed up the shipping process. If you request expediting then your shipment will arrive faster.

Goin' Postal Bellevue is an approved Postal Provider for the United States Post Office. Stamps, parcel, priority, express, and international services are offered here. We are located on the corner of 148th AVE NE and NE 20th St, in the same plaza with IHOP and Goodwill.
